From what you are telling me, it sounds like your computer is set to
automatically dial whenever a request from your computer is
recognized. Which means that any online program can start
the dialup. Some of the programs that can cause this actions
would be any
It isn't necessarily OE that is causing the reconnect.
However, if OE has been set to turn on MSN or Windows messaging in
the background and your computer is set to auto redial, that would
cause the redial to happen. Go and take a look at OE's Options.
found under the Tools menu option.
Unless there is a reason why you want to disconnect after sending
and receiving, the easiest way to solve the problem would be to turn
off the disconnect feature in OE. If you really
need the system to stay disconnected the next step would be to find
out what program is running in the background and take it out of
your startup menu.
